Gram Cafe is opening its second outlet in Singapore, at Punggol, Waterway Point.

The Japanese brand arrived in mid-2019, setting up shop in VivoCity with their well-known soufflé pancakes.

Prior to that, the cafe was embroiled in a copyright fiasco, but the Singapore owners subsequently clarified that they were simply franchisees who were not involved in the drama.

Not that it mattered — its opening still attracted a healthy queue.

The new outlet will be located at Level 1 of the mall, in an area of the West Wing opposite Cedele.

A notice pasted on the hoarding reveals that renovation works will last till June 21, 2021, latest.

June 21 also happens to be the date when dining in will resume, as Singapore transitions out of Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), assuming the Covid-19 situation remains under control.

However, it is not clear if operations for the cafe will start immediately after renovation works have been completed.

Gram cafe offers both sweet and savoury versions of their pancakes. Expect to pay around S$20 (or more) for your meal.
