Special features

Granite formations

The park and its vicinity is named "coughing hill" because of the noisy quarry works in the 1950s. The disused quarry was flooded in the 1980s to form the lake.

Plant and animals

Grey-headed Fish Eagle

A fish-eating bird of prey with a dark brown upper body, grey head and lighter underbelly and white legs.
