Admiralty Park

The largest nature area within an urban park, it houses over 100 species across 20 hectares of forest, mangrove, riverine and grassland habitats.

The mangrove is home to one of the world's largest mudskippers. Observe it moving in and out of its burrow, which looks like a large mud pool.

This plant's young, translucent and chewy seeds – also known as Attap Chee – are usually boiled in sugar syrup and added to local desserts such as ice kachang.

Look out for colourful species such as the Blue Dasher, Common Parasol, Spine-tufted Skimmer and more.

This bird feeds on the seeds of the long grasses found in the grasslands. Its chest has a scalloped look due to its white breast feathers edged with mahogany.

The male bird weaves long grasses into a hanging globular nest during the breeding season from March to July. Try to spot its nest in the trees!

Look out for these plants' interesting roots, which are specialised to help them survive in the environment between the land and sea.
