Here are just some words from our happy parents!

Cherie Hearts at Charlton introduced programs which are beyond the usual curriculums/lessons like I love Reading Day and Young Entrepreneurs Day cum Start Small Dream Big - Charity Drive. I love Reading Day encourages the children to develop good reading habit at a young age and children get to DIY their own costume with parents and dressed up in their favorite character from books to school. The children enjoyed the day and parents get to enjoy the bonding session through costume making. Young Entrepreneurs Day cum Start Small Dream Big - Charity Drive is an event day which the children did some Art work and sell their Art work as a Charity Drive.

I think this is a good way to learn and do art at the same time teaching them to give back to the society/needy. It's never too early to teach children the value of empathy, volunteering, and charitable giving of one's resources. Teaching children emotional literacy and developing their capacity to take the perspective of others is something teachers and parents can do hand in hand. This Charity Drive is something which is beyond the normal textbook/storybook activity. I hope the school continues to introduce such learning programs to teach children and a way for parents to bond with their children through such programs.
